Sugar and spice and everything nice…that’s what little girls are made of……Oh my goodness are these the most beautiful girls ever…and they look absolutely adorable.  They were like little bundles of fluff all dolled up in their tutu dresses.  They were full of giggles and tinkling laughter…….Delightful!!!

Lipstick

April 8, 2010

I have lots of things I should be doing…..two albums to design, a  wedding announcement to design….always lots of pictures to edit…but in my search of my computer for elements I need to finish my project, I came across these pictures, lost in an abandoned folder….and I smiled!  Oh the innocence of youth, the silliness of friends, the giggles of little girls…and to think it all came about from a tube of lipstick.

Sharing some more shots of these adorable things called Huggalugs……love all of these!!!

Okay I’m crazy about these…..I think I fall more and more in love with each pair I shoot.  And I have to say I’m crazy about this lavender pair of Huggalugs.

And then there is Taytum….could she be any cuter!!!!

Had to share our most recent photos from our Belle Ame shoot.  The girls once again had a blast!

Tasha has out done herself once again on her designs.  I love all the new pieces she has added to her collection;  headbands, shrugs and leggings, so many options  and possibilities the girls had so much fun trying on all their new pretties.

What to do with Hattie..she has just recently become aware that she is getting her picture taken….don’t you love the smile!!  This seems to be her new face for every picture…can’t wait to be out of this  stage…LOL!!!

A great big Thank You once again to Tasha!!!  We had so much fun!!!

I’m going to let you in on a little secret about me….well, for those of you who really know me…this is no secret.  But, here goes, I absolutely love children…I love everything about them.  I think this has something to do with why I have eight of my own.  I’m the girl who went to college and kept all of her babysitting connections.  I would call my families on the weekends I was coming home and beg them to do something so I could take care of their children.  I wanted children way before I wanted a husband….but being the old fashioned girl that I am it was necessary not to put the cart before the horse….and this led to my nuptials.  John didn’t quite know what he had gotten himself into when he hooked up with me.  But I can assure you he, like me absolutely adores our children and they adore him!

I  entitled this post “Joy” because every time I look at these pictures that is what I feel.  I loved the time I spent with these two….their tinkling laughter, their carefree spirits, their abandonment of  everything around them….and how they just got caught up in the moment…it was as if I wasn’t even there.  They allowed me to just photograph them being themselves…oh I love the innocence of a child….just happy to be who they are.  A child has a special way of adding joy in every single day.  Enjoy!!

I just wanted to share a little bit of what we have been up to lately.  We once again have been doing some work for Belle Ame and what a fun time was had.  The girls absolutely love when they get to dress up in beautiful pettiskirts….or around our house they are called “poofies”.  Thank you again Tasha for thinking of us….the girls truly felt like princesses.

I’m asking myself, can you smile out loud?  Is it even possible?  Well if it is, that’s what I’m doing every time I even think about this picture.  It makes me so happy I feel like I’m about to burst….so I just had to share.  I was so lucky and got to spend a couple of hours with the “H” family on Thursday evening….I love this family.  I have lots to share, but only one for right now, so you are going to have to check back.  Thank you “H” family for a spectacular evening!!!

Okay….so I said it would be a bit before I got some more up.  I just had to show you one more.  Aren’t these just the cutest kids!!!

Being a photographer sure has it perks…..and this is one of them!  I get to take beautiful images of my children.  We get to do some commercial for work for two amazing lines of clothing Belle Ame and Huggalugs.  This was shot at the end of the session and Hattie was all tuckered out….modeling is such hard work!

I was supposed to do a shoot this morning for a senior girl, but she was worried the weather wasn’t going to cooperate so we ended up postponing it last night…..I woke up to a glorious morning and couldn’t stand the thoughts of the morning going to waste.  I decided it was time to go do some exploring in this new place we live…time to get familiar with our new surroundings and start looking at it through the eyes of a photographer.  I have to tell you my heart was melting editing these pictures tonight and words can not express how grateful I am that I didn’t let a morning go to waste.  I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
