We are feeling so blessed.  We were recently asked to do some work for an another amazing company called Huggalugs.  They make the absolute cutest leg and arm warmers…..You couldn’t find a better accessory for your Belle Ame pettiskirts.  Here is Hattie in a favorite pair of Huggalugs they are from the new Leg Ruffles line.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret about me….well, for those of you who really know me…this is no secret.  But, here goes, I absolutely love children…I love everything about them.  I think this has something to do with why I have eight of my own.  I’m the girl who went to college and kept all of her babysitting connections.  I would call my families on the weekends I was coming home and beg them to do something so I could take care of their children.  I wanted children way before I wanted a husband….but being the old fashioned girl that I am it was necessary not to put the cart before the horse….and this led to my nuptials.  John didn’t quite know what he had gotten himself into when he hooked up with me.  But I can assure you he, like me absolutely adores our children and they adore him!

I  entitled this post “Joy” because every time I look at these pictures that is what I feel.  I loved the time I spent with these two….their tinkling laughter, their carefree spirits, their abandonment of  everything around them….and how they just got caught up in the moment…it was as if I wasn’t even there.  They allowed me to just photograph them being themselves…oh I love the innocence of a child….just happy to be who they are.  A child has a special way of adding joy in every single day.  Enjoy!!

I just wanted to share a little bit of what we have been up to lately.  We once again have been doing some work for Belle Ame and what a fun time was had.  The girls absolutely love when they get to dress up in beautiful pettiskirts….or around our house they are called “poofies”.  Thank you again Tasha for thinking of us….the girls truly felt like princesses.

I’m asking myself, can you smile out loud?  Is it even possible?  Well if it is, that’s what I’m doing every time I even think about this picture.  It makes me so happy I feel like I’m about to burst….so I just had to share.  I was so lucky and got to spend a couple of hours with the “H” family on Thursday evening….I love this family.  I have lots to share, but only one for right now, so you are going to have to check back.  Thank you “H” family for a spectacular evening!!!

Okay….so I said it would be a bit before I got some more up.  I just had to show you one more.  Aren’t these just the cutest kids!!!

I love it when I get to meet new people…just one of the perks of my job.  I hadn’t met this family before our shoot, (well technically, I had seen Sydney at the Crandall’s house a couple of times and spoken with her mom on the phone when booking the appointment, but I don’t think you can count that).  We decided to meet at Hobble Creek.  I got there first to scope things out a little and assess the light.  A little after I arrived they came.  They pulled up in their van and the doors opened and the first beautiful girl stepped out and then came another, and then another, and then another….I couldn’t get over how beautiful this family is.  Here is dad with his beautiful girls…..you can see what I’m talking about.  I also have to tell you that I have a sixth grade son and he now thinks I am the coolest mom ever because I photographed someone  he told me who is one of the prettiest girls in his whole sixth grade class.

And in with all these beautiful girls came the cutest little guy ever.  I asked the girls who is the most spoiled in the family and everyone pointed to him!

This family had such a spirit of  joy and it was obvious it started with mom and dad.  I loved this moment…..the kids were all gathered round and saying the funniest things…you know how kids are they can never let parents have a minute alone.

Thank you to the “F” family….I had a blast and enjoyed my time so much with you!!!  You made my day extra fabulous!!!

The joy of coming to a new place is getting to meet beautiful new people.  We have come to love this family and they have truly become our friends, and not just because they keep us supplied with Nabisco products…..how tickled was I when they asked me to capture their family through my photography.   We started out with an urban session…I love it when a family wants to do something urban…so fun for me!!  And then we made ourselves up one of the beautiful canyons near where we live….I haven’t done as much exploring here as I would like to and I love it when I get to travel someplace new…..Thank you “C” family….I had such an enjoyable couple of hours with you…and I enjoyed so much feeling the love in your family….you are all just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside!!!
